BAHP Recognizes Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 15-21, 2025

September 15-21st is National Diaper Need Awareness Week, a time to bring attention to the reality that too many families in the United States struggle to provide an adequate supply of diapers to keep their babies clean, dry, and healthy.

Diaper need is a serious public health and equity issue. Without enough diapers, parents may be forced to stretch the time between changes, putting children at risk of diaper rash and infections. Lack of diapers can also prevent parents from accessing childcare and maintaining employment, creating additional economic and emotional stress.

At the Center for Baby and Adult Hygiene Products (BAHP), we are committed to raising awareness of this issue and supporting collaborative solutions. Our members provide essential products that families rely on every day, and we are proud to stand alongside policymakers, nonprofits, and community organizations working to address diaper need across the country.

This week, we encourage our partners, stakeholders, and communities to:

  • Learn more about diaper need and its impact on families.

  • Support local diaper banks and nonprofits providing resources to families in need.

  • Advocate for policies that help ensure every child has access to clean, dry diapers.

Together, we can help bring greater awareness to this often-overlooked challenge and advance solutions that support family well-being.
