BAHP Deputy Director Volunteers for Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 19, 2025
Today, BAHP Deputy Director Gia Komst joined Molly Boyd from the National Diaper Bank Network to volunteer at Cradles to Crayons. Together, they helped organize a truckload of diapers and wipes. Because of these efforts, more than 260,800 diapers and wipes are set to be distributed to families in need tomorrow.
Diaper Need Awareness Week shines a spotlight on the challenges many families face in accessing essential products for their children. In the United States, 1 in 2 families struggles with diaper insecurity, making the work of organizations like the National Diaper Bank Network and Cradles to Crayons critical. By partnering with these efforts, BAHP continues to raise awareness about diaper need and advocate for solutions that ensure every baby has the essentials for a healthy start.
BAHP is proud to stand alongside national and community partners working on the frontlines to support families. Volunteer efforts like this highlight the importance of collective action in addressing diaper need, and BAHP remains committed to advancing policies and partnerships that help close the gap for families across the country.
